Van Bellman is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based musician Zac Taylor, who has been in the New York scene for the better part of a decade. He has played with folks you may have seen on TV or heard on the radio, most notably the multi-platinum band American Authors. This new project Van Bellman offers an eclectic mix of bluesy rock and indie pop.

The self-produced lead single “I Hate To See You This Way” will be released on June 8th, and might be your new favorite rock song of the year. The song was recently featured on Live Nation's Ones to Watch, and was cowritten with fellow New York based artist Kiyo Cato, and recorded at legendary Mission Sounds Studios in Brooklyn.

The NYC music scene has shaped Taylor into a respected collaborator, hired gun, and songwriter. Van Bellman is the byproduct of all of these experiences. You have no patience for a whole record. No one does. So the Van Bellman tunes are coming at you one by one. Enjoy the previews on the homepage in the meantime.
